A couple of years ago if there was one thing we enjoyed almost as much as working on our own projects, it was playing arena FPS games in the evenings. But with only a few new releases in over half a decade, the entire genre didn't exactly prosper since then. We started playing a lot of today's established FPS games instead, but no matter how hard we tried, we never had as much fun with them as we had with our beloved, old-school arena shooters.

A long story short: At REAKKTOR, we always try to work on projects we believe in AND have fun with. So, in 2012 we came up with the vision to add our own footprint to the Arena-FPS genre. The idea for TOXIKK was born. A game that combines the mechanics of old-school FPS giants with our own ideas for a fresh setting, lots of new weapons and our vision to carefully evolve the genre.

TOXIKK plays, as if today's military shooters never existed. It is designed to return the Arena-FPS genre to it's roots: No leveling, no regenerating health, no perks, no cover systems, no classes, no configurable weapons, no reload, no iron sight aiming etc.

Instead you get fast and precise movement with deelply configurable mouse controls, double jumps, dodge jumps, booster pick-ups, nine iconic weapons (to be carried around simultaneously), secondary fire modes for every weapon, jump pads, health-packs, lots of vertical gameplay, a fresh universe, optional mutators (including instagib), vehicular game modes and just everything else that made these games addictive.

The core development of TOXIKK is pretty much finished and we're now working on adding more maps, fine-tuning the movement, adding some more features and finalizing the weapons. But we don't want to release the game without your help, ideas and opinion! Visit our FORUMS and talk directly to the devs about what YOU would like to see in the game. We will respond to every reasonable suggestion or question you might have.
